The New York Post did a little bit of Google Trends analysis: "As the stock market cratered through 2008 and finally hit its low in March 2009 -- with the S&P 500 hitting an intra-day low of 666 -- the number of people expressing an interest in how to kill themselves spiked. The bulk of these requests were coming not from Wall Street but from places ranging from Wisconsin to Utah, according to Google Trends -- as Main Street America dealt with the ramifications of falling 401(k)s, increased distances to retirement and underwater mortgages."
