Remember that taco shop in Arizona that was planning on selling lion meat tacos?

Yeah, not gonna happen anymore.

MSNBC reports:

Bryan Mazon, the owner of Boca Tacos and Tequila, said Monday that his Tucson eatery has received "many threats" against the restaurant, family members, customers and vendors since he announced last week that he was taking prepaid orders for the exotic [lion] tacos.

Mazon said he will continue to bring unique menu items to his customers, but not at the expense of safety.
Mazon told the Arizona Daily Star that he had received at least 25 "direct threats" and "probably hundreds" of indirect ones, including many on Facebook.

This, of course, is a tragedy. Not because dishing up lion meat is some culinary imperative that we’ve just let slide through our fingers, but because we, as a taco eating people, have our priorities seriously backwards.

It was just yesterday, yesterday, that we learned that the actual content of Taco Bell’s beef allegedly contains other such ingredients as “Isolated Oat Product, wheat oats, soy lecithin, maltodrextrin, anti-dusting agent, autolyzed yeast extract, modified corn starch, and sodium phosphate.”

Now, to be fair, and as the Daily Feed reported, Taco Bell has staunchly rejected claims that its beef isn’t beef.

But look, you put two tacos in front of me, one containing lion meat, and the other containing an anti-dusting agent, and then ask me to write an angry letter, guess who I’m writing?
POSITION:  No positions in stocks mentioned.
