Life-Size Bust of Kevin Bacon, Made From Bacon, Auctioned for Charity

Print comment Post Comments
Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow, owners of Seattle's J&D Foods, commissioned artist Mike Lahue to sculpt a life-sized bust of actor Kevin Bacon--entirely out of bacon.

It's currently being auctioned off on eBay, with proceeds going to Ashley's Team, a charity benefiting kids with cancer.

"I ate one whole bottle of bacon bits myself along the way," sculptor Lahue said. "I'd put a little on the [sculpture's] head and then keep a little mouthful for me here and there. I had never eaten much bacon before this, but I've eaten a lot since."

Bidding is up to $0.06. C'mon, get on eBay and jack that price up. It's for a good cause. Plus, whose home wouldn't look better with a somewhat successful actor's head constructed from bacon in the foyer?
