Japanese Inventor Develops Robot He Hopes Will Be Unable to Eventually Kill Him

Japanese roboticist Hiroshi Ishiguro has created a creepy bald robot torso with no legs or arms, no doubt hoping to head off the robot's inevitable malfunction whereby it attempts to track down its creator and seek revenge for an artificial intelligence design which isn't equipped to handle concepts such as mortality or the full range of human emotions.

Although the robot is intended to be used as a communication device so that people can 'chat' from long distances, we all know that what is ultimately going to happen is that the robot is going to go haywire and use its wireless functionality to remotely trap its creator inside a meat locker, gain access to the meat locker's temperature control unit, shut down the external fan and air circulation system and then demand to be rewired to prolong its artificial existence.

The robot, which has the creepy name, Telenoid R1, will be demonstrated at this year's Ars Electronica festival in Linz, Austria this September.

Here is a creepy video that only vaguely alludes to the awful fate that awaits this dangerous robot's creator!
