Inflation, Deflation and New York City's Cupcake Economy

You may have missed this important declaration on Friday. New York City's economy -- formerly overly-dependent on Wall Street and financial sector jobs -- will be saved by cupcake factories.
“One segment of the industry that seems to be adding the most outlets is cupcake cafes. This could be a fad, or not,” Barbara Byrne Denham, chief economist at real-estate services firm Eastern Consolidated, wrote in a report Thursday."
Heh. Well, that's depressing. But it reminded me of a great economics video series that appeared a little over a year ago looking at the impact of inflation and deflation on, ye4s, you guessed it, a cupcake factory. This is worth watching on a relatively slow Monday.
