Google Street View Visits Antarctica

While the street you grew up on might be hidden from Google Maps' Street View cameras, one remote area has been given the panoramic treatment. But it's not exactly a street, per se. More of a rocky passage surrounded by icebergs and permafrost and dotted with waddling locals.

Yes, Google Street View has hit a few sites in Antarctica -- the least populated continent in the world -- allowing a 360-degree view of the icy terrain without a plane ticket and a heated coil to test alien blood samples.

Take a gander at some of the penguins on the stony hill.
