Google Street View Captures Naked Man in Trunk of Car, Causes Runaway Speculation

Recently, a new Google Street View photo appeared that quickly became an Internet sensation:

The London Telegraph writes:

"The baffling picture shows a nude man in the boot of a Mercedes which is parked on the driveway of a house in Mannheim, south-west Germany.

"A dog lies nearby surrounded by the contents of the sports car's boot.

"The image has prompted a rash of internet speculation over what activity the man could be involved in."

Der Spiegel speculates:

"Irgendwo in Deutschland hat ein Google-Kamerawagen diese merkwürdige Situation fotografiert. Wir haben die Adresse anonymisiert, Google nicht."

Sure, everyone's got a theory. But, through my powers of investigation (I almost became an NYPD cop when I was 22 -- doesn't that count for something?), I believe I have solved this "mystery."

It's Germany. People do weird s - - t there all the time. This is just a typical Mannheimer, who woke up one morning, killed his dog, huffed a bunch of solvent (see that plastic jug on the left?), then stripped naked and climbed into the trunk of his car to relax. Once the effects of the fumes wear off and the naked guy works up a hearty enough appetite, the dog -- which looks to be a German Shorthaired Pointer -- will make a satisfying meal, as Pointers generally weigh about 60 pounds, providing approximately 25 pounds of usable meat.
