Eight Meals Inspired by TV Shows

Print comment Post Comments
As a child, while watching the original Dennis the Menace, I was curious as to what made up the nerve medicine that ornery old coot George Wilson imbibed when Dennis got to be a handful. Theo Huxtable's constant mention of Bacon Burger Dogs also had me wondering what such a delectable treat would look like. And despite the main ingredient, Soylent Green always sounded pretty tasty adorned with a palatable topping.

From Wonka Bars to Futurama's addictive soft drink Slurm, fictional edibles have captivated hungry minds the world over. And occasionally, life imitates art when the more daring and experimental viewers attempt to duplicate the dish. In several cases, Duff Beer made its way out of actual breweries.

Although neglecting to include Springfield's flagship brew, Woman's Day collected eight actual dishes inspired by TV shows.

1. Spaghetti Tacos from iCarly

2. Cheesy Blasters from 30 Rock

3. Milksteak from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

4. Scooby Snacks from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

5. Muffin Top from Seinfeld

6. Pizza Crepe Taco Pancake Chili Bag from Saturday Night Live

7. The Moistmaker from Friends

8. The Luther from The Boondocks
