Bus Driver Reads Kindle Behind Wheel. Oh Yeah, Bus Was Moving.

People sure seem to love their Kindles.

After Amazon's Kindle 3G was released this summer, the company issued a press release contending that "more new generation Kindles were ordered in the first four weeks of availability than in the same time frame following any other Kindle launch, making the new Kindles the fastest-selling ever."

While Amazon has avoided providing actual sales figures for the Kindle, the Wall Street Journal wrote, "The closest the company has come to uttering a numerical sales figure was in July, when it said 'millions of people are already reading on Kindles.' That, at least, narrowed the potential range of Kindle sales down to between two million and 999 million."

One of those "millions" is truly addicted to his Kindle, if the below video is any indication:

The Portland, Oregon, bus driver was caught on video by a passenger, engrossed in whatever he was reading on his Kindle, which was perched on the dashboard, while driving down I-5.

The rest of the video shows the driver, whose name hasn't been released, looking up and down between his Kindle and the road while he drives, occasionally using his elbow to steer while adjusting the device.

He's been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

What was he reading?

That information hasn't been made available. However, we have some ideas as to what it may have been:

* The Short Bus: A Journey Beyond Normal by Jonathan Mooney

* Ace Detective - Satan Drives the Bus by Wyatt Blassingame

* Trouble on Bus 58 by Tasha Jacobson

* Win Your Unemployment Compensation Claim by Lawrence Edelstein
