As iPhone Battles Android, What's BlackBerry Up To?

This week, Nielsen released a chart that showed Apple, Google, and Research in Motion in a three-way tie for mobile phone operating system share as of the fourth quarter of 2010. But for many non-business consumers, the choice is chiefly between an iPhone and Android device. Both are geared toward the average consumer with hundreds of thousands of apps and countless useful functions.

But aside from that heated battle between Cupertino and Mountain View, what's BlackBerry up to? How's it planning on competing with its two competitors?
