Another iPhone Prototype Leaked!

APPLE FALLS FROM THE TREE
DailyFeed
Last April, Gizmodo famously took the wind out of Apple's sails by giving an exclusive look at the then-upcoming iPhone 4. The story of how it ended up in the tech site's hands was as hilarious as it was incredible -- an Apple employee got drunk and left it behind at a bar. A huge score for Gizmodo, it was one of the biggest tech stories of 2010.

Reminding us of that infamous story, another iPhone 4 prototype fell into the hands of the folks at MIC Gadget. Although not as groundbreaking of a leak, this does foretell an update for future iPhone models: more storage space.

Giving an exclusive on the device, MIC Gadget shows off an iPhone 4 with 64GB of storage space -- double the current 32GB limit. Like the prototype Gizmodo had, the back listed "XXGB" as the storage, the model number is XXXXX, and no plus or minus on the volume keys. And one more thing: It's not the only one that was leaked. Chris Chang writes:

"Apparently, this 64GB iPhone 4 is not for sale in grey markets of Hong Kong. The owner of this engineered prototype told us that he got it from a source who has a small quantity of these prototypes. They are definitely leaked from Foxconn's factory in Shenzhen. What's more, according to the owner, he believes that the next iPhone will bring 64GB storage capacity to users. Well, we think Apple is planning to update the iPhone 4 with small upgrades, at least featuring a new 64GB model."

As a bonus, the site posted a hands-on video of the device, proving it's the real thing.

So, while it's not an iPhone 5, it's certainly nice to know that Apple plans on boosting space for music and video.
