STOP THROWING AWAY THOSE STATEMENTS UNOPENED
According to a Bloomberg poll, of people who own stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, only 3 out of 10 believe their portfolios have a greater value today than they did a year ago, despite the fact that the S&P 500 is up 73%. The data proves that most Americans aren't feeling the improvements in the economy despite the fact that the numbers tell the true story. “It’s very difficult to turn perceptions around once you’ve been through the proverbial economic wringer,” Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody’s Economy.com, told Bloomberg. “Everything is colored by the fact that unemployment is near 10 percent. It doesn’t really matter what you ask, you’re going to get the same answer.”
