Aliens Could Operate Through Robots, Astronomer Says

Look, I don't want to be one of those "I told ya so" people, but I freaking TOLD YOU SO!

Dr. Seth Shostak of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (Seti) Institute in California says the search for extraterrestrial life may be overlooking the fact that aliens are already among us as "sentient machines" -- a fancy science phrase for robots -- sent from outerspace.

Shostak says that, "If you look at the timescales for the development of technology, at some point you invent radio and then you go on the air and then we have a chance of finding you. But," he wrote in Acta Astronautica, a publication that none of us will ever likely read, "within a few hundred years of inventing radio - at least if we're any example - you invent thinking machines.”

So, what does this mean for us here on Earth? It's simple: We have to find a way to help the robots return to their alien creators so that when they malfunction, due to their crude artificial intelligence that cannot possibly handle the full range of alien emotions, they will be better able to hunt down their creators and squeeze their heads like that replicant did to Eldon Tyrell in that movie Bladerunner.

This video clip is in no way related to the text above, but it does show creepy footage of a violin-playing robot that will one day malfunction and attack its creator by squeezing his or her head. Also, this robot absolutely butchers Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance! Butchers it!
