Coal Miners: According to the SMH, some of the largest coal producers in Australia have suspended sales and production runs. Among the miners affected are Anglo American (AAUKG), Aquila Resources, Rio Tinto (RTP) and Xstrata (XSRAY).

Mining Contractors: UBS analysts say miners exposed to the flooding include Macmahon Holdings, Boom Logistics (BOOLF) and Emeco.

Agriculture: The SMH notes that Australia's wheat, sugar and cotton exports are expected to be hit by flooding, while fertiliser makers may also be hurt by reduced sales. GrainCorp (GRCLF) is among the companies impacted.
