Comedian Strains Netflix's Servers by Streaming 252 Movies in a Month

Last year, comedian Mark Malkoff tested the limits of just how far you can press the patience of Apple Store (AAPL) employees. Despite having a pizza delivered, going on a formal date, dressing as Darth Vader, and bringing in a goat, Malkoff was never kicked out of a store.

Although, it being a New York Apple Store, maybe the staff had just seen it all.

Now, Malkoff is provoking the ire of another tech giant: Netflix (NFLX).

Armed with an Unlimited Streaming account for $7.99, the daring lad aimed to watch as many movies as possible for one month. Using Facebook (FB) and Twitter to compile a playlist -- and inviting actors Andrew McCarthy and Jason London over for real-time commentary -- Malkoff managed to sit through 252 films at a cost of 3.2 cents per film.

Unfortunate side effects to the experiment included gaining six extra pounds and upsetting a very patient wife.
