Wanna See Apple's Ghostbusters Parody From 1984? You Sure Do!

Now there's something you don't see everyday.

One of the fiercest competitors in its field, Apple (AAPL) has had its share of big name foes through the decades -- Microsoft (MSFT), Google (GOOG), Adobe (ABDE), Amazon (AMZN), HTC, Samsung, etc. But apart from Microsoft, the current thorns in Cupertino's side are fairly new and don't go back to the early days of Macintosh's debut. At that time, one of the company's biggest enemies was IBM (IBM).

Famously depicted as Big Brother in Apple's landmark "1984" ad, "Big Blue" found itseld to be the target of Apple scorn once again -- albeit to a more lighthearted degree -- in another video short from that year. Recently spotted by the Associated Press during a rare visit of Stanford's undisclosed Apple warehouse filled with relics from the past, this clip aims to take IBM down a peg by comparing them to the ghosts and ghouls from Ivan Reitman's hit film Ghostbusters. Complete with Macintosh proton packs, mid-'80s-level effects, and a cameo by Steve Wozniak, this ad must be seen to believed.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you "Blue Busters."
