Last night, Jon Stewart interviewed The Daily Show’s resident deranged millionaire, John Hodgman, on the Muppets communist leanings. If you recall, there’s been a minor uproar on Fox Business (NWS) over the villain in the Disney (DIS) film The Muppets -- a wealthy oil tycoon that some people feel presents an unfair image of businessmen.
Hodgman reminds us that Hollywood has always shown rich people in a negative light. To solve this problem, he has remade several old movies and removed their anti-rich bias. His choices include It’s a Wonderful Life -- which is now much, much shorter -- and Profitar, a story of intergalactic capitalism where free market forces reign and wealth trickles down.
