A Dutch Airline Is Now Letting You Choose Your Seat Based on Fellow Passengers' Facebook Profiles

Print comment Post Comments
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has come up with an interesting way to let you pick your seat on board its flights.

USA Today reports that the carrier will allow passengers to see the social media profiles of those on board the flight when checking in online. If you're looking to network or meet new people during the journey then you can choose your seat location accordingly.

Passengers are able to make the choice whether to link up their Facebook or LinkedIn profiles to their e-tickets.

TNooz notes that KLM are not the first airline to utilize social media in this way. Malaysia Airlines is reportedly launching a service to allow people to see when their friends might be flying by connecting tickets to their Facebook profiles.
