GOING THROUGH MONEY LIKE WATER
DailyFeed
In case you missed it, last night on the Daily Show, correspondent Aasif Mandvi, took on Gameview Studio’s Tapfish for iPhone (AAPL) and Android (GOOG). The game -- which is targeted at children -- involves raising fish in a virtual aquarium. It’s free to play but add-ons cost money, as does reviving fish if they die.

In the interview, an increasingly nervous developer kept repeating that the game teaches responsibility. Meanwhile, one parent, who the developer refused to speak to on the phone, claimed that all it teaches is how to run up credit card bills. Here’s a quote from one, very young, player: “If there was a game called max out your dad’s credit card, we would’ve won.”

Sounds a little bit like this.
