Android's Future Wonder Delayed!

While Motorola's latest Droid has been safely delivered to the masses, Google and Samsung have now decided to push this Galaxy far, far away.

Yesterday, Droid Bionic users begrudgingly looked forward to seeing next Tuesday's unveiling of the Android's newest flagship device. However, their stay on the throne has been prolonged as Google and Samsung have revealed that the first look and launch of the Galaxy Nexus has been postponed.

In a statement, Samsung said, "Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced."

Kim Titus -- Samsung Mobile's director of PR in the US -- followed up the statement with This Is My Next and added, "Under the current circumstances, both parties have agreed that this is not the appropriate time for the announcement of a new product. We would ask for the understanding of our clients and media for any inconvenience caused. We will announce a new date and venue in due course."

Not only does this delay the launch of a highly anticipated Android device, it also pushes back the debut of its next OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. Now, Google's Eric Schmidt had promised to deliver Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of November, but this might extend the release even further.
