Obama Fried Chicken Appears in Beijing

Well, Shanghaiist has done it yet again, unearthing China's latest, greatest piece of IP artistry:

Long before they started knocking off Apple stores and Oreo cookies, China had been taking its fair share of liberties with the KFC trademark for quite some time, creating such fast-feederies as KMC:

The chain with a name we can only assume translates into "Colonel Tso's Chicken:



As well as "The Post-Op Colonel's Extra Crispy Recipe Fried Chicken":



But, until now, OFC outlets have been limited to locations closer to home -- with some taking exception to the venture:



Of course, KFC itself felt free to borrow Barack Obama's image back in February, when the chain's Hong Kong unit kicked off a fish filet promotion:



But one piece of Chinese advertising actually had some relevance to Obama, making reference to the President's BlackBerry habit...or did it?
