Infographic: Android vs. iOS in Mobile Advertising

Print comment Post Comments
"According to Berg Insight, the mobile phone advertising market is expected to reach 12.4 billion by 2014, and is growing at a rate of 45% per year," writes Steven Blum at AndroidPit. "The big players in mobile OSes, including Android, iOS, RIM, Symbian and Windows continue to battle for mobile advertising market share and now -– thanks to a cool, new infographic -– we can take a look at who is winning the war over mobile advertising revenue."

Courtesy of Inneractive, this infographic breaks down the effective cost per mile, global fill rates, and click-through rates for the top two dogs in the mobile industry. Judging from the graph, Blum calls this one a draw -- since more iOS users click on ads and generate more revenue, but ads in Android apps enjoy a lengthier lifespan and higher global fill rates.
