Fake Chinese Apple Store in Good Company

The news of not one, not two, but three knockoff Apple stores in Kunming, China has been the week's biggest story.

However, the fake shop -- which is so convincing, it apparently even has the employees fooled -- is merely the latest wholesale brand theft in the world's second-largest economy.

As attorney Alexander Koff of Whiteford Taylor Preston, LLP recently wrote, "China is getting better about [intellectual property].  But it is not there yet."

But the Chinese fakery to end all fakery? In April, authorities in Shanghai turned up, wait for it...counterfeit beef:

To be fair, South Korea seems to be giving China a run for its money in the fake race:

Though, China still maintains its sizable lead over all comers -- no one else has yet managed to fake, and no, this is not a joke, eggs.
