Those are merely a fraction of the countless headlines on the ever-changing online landscape that 2011 gave us. It's hard to believe, especially today, that we're still in the web's infancy. Despite the growing ubiquity of Wi-Fi, smartphones, and social media, we have so much more ahead of us.

As it stands, the web remains a chaotic, disorganized mess. Sure, we have our Google Searches and Facebook Likes and RSS Feeds to separate the wheat from the chaff, but finding information relevant to our interest still requires a bit of finesse and a whole lot of rejection.

There are countless facets to the overall State of the Internet, but does a commendable job breaking down a tremendous amount of info into a stylish, animated infographic.
