Motorola Droid Bionic Redesign Leaked!

Print comment Post Comments
Of all the non-iPhone devices, Verizon's first dual-core 4G handset is definitely the most anticipated.

After making a brief appearance at this year's CES convention, the Motorola Droid Bionic was originally set to be released in the second quarter, but has since been pushed back to "Summer 2011" to undergo a revamp. The wait has been agonizing for Android fans, as a dedicated clan have actually held off on buying the HTC ThunderBolt on Verizon and will forgo the Samsung Galaxy S II models when they finally launch stateside.

Well, other than Android Central's screencap claiming an August 4 release, the Droid Bionic's launch date is still officially up in the air. But thanks to Best Buy, we now know what it'll look like.

This Is My Next scored a screencap of a Best Buy promo for the Droid Bionic. The copy reads, "With the ferocious force of Verizon 4G LTE, the Droid Bionic is an all-powerful, unstoppable machine." Aside from the bombastic speech, it also lists feature highlights like the dual-core processor, the HDMI mirror mode, and dual cameras.

Writer Chris Ziegler notes the squared off corners and shinier edges. Hopefully, the manufacturer tackled that "battery drain" that was rumored to keep it from the shelves.

All in all, that purported August date can't come quickly enough.
