Your Depressing Federal Budget Infographic of the Day

Print comment Post Comments
This week marks the ten-year anniversary of former President George W. Bush's tax cuts.

How did you celebrate? Craigslist or

Annie Lowrey of Slate chronicled the last decade of influence the cuts had on our economy and job market. And in case you haven't noticed, it ain't been great. The wealthiest one percent claimed 38% of the cuts while the rest of us experienced the worst economic growth since World War II.

At a cost of roughly $2.5 trillion, it's hard to prove that the Bush tax cuts benefited anyone but the ridiculously rich.

But in case you need a chart courtesy of which compares the money spent on the cuts versus what they could have been spent on, it's a pretty depressing picture.

Happy Friday!
