I'd be stating the obvious if I told you that Facebook has completely changed the dating scene.

Ten years ago, there still was a social stigma of dating someone you met online. Now, it's almost a given. While the popularity of Match.com, eHarmony, OkCupid, and Yahoo Personals help make online dating more common and even preferable, it's the all-purpose Facebook and its 600 million users that curtails the awkwardness, frustration, and subscription fees that come with dating websites.

Because Facebook is so casual, so can the relationships be.

But as former Google CEO Eric Schmidt recently said, the empire that Facebook built can easily said in the same breath as Google, Apple, and Amazon. It's an increasingly influential presence in our day-to-day lives, so it's no surprise that it has affected our relationships and the way we interact.

Online Dating University and AllFacebook.com recently compiled some stats that show how Facebook influences our social behavior, our self-esteem, even our health.
