Verizon Wireless Takes a Tumble

Print comment Post Comments
It's rough out there for HTC Thunderbolt owners.

After a horrendously botched launch -- one filled with delays and pricing screw-ups -- new owners of the blazing-fast Thunderbolt were treated to an unforgivably short battery life. But despite the glitches during its short lifespan, the HTC Thunderbolt is a solid device and one that is actually outselling the Verizon iPhone in some Verizon shops.

But then the carrier's 4G network stops working and customers start to wonder if they've made the right choice.

Nationwide, reports are coming in that HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge owners aren't able to access 4G speeds on Verizon's network. Since the provider's 3G network is still alive and kicking for many, tech bloggers are suggesting customers switch to that for the time being.

Verizon Wireless' Twitter feed recently posted a status update:

So hang tight, Thunderbolt folks. Take a break to charge the phone -- it's almost due for one right about now.
