Minyanville Underground Railroad: Brokedown Palace
As the Minyanville Underground Railroad gains momentum, we're humbly asking ye faithful for help on three fronts.
First, if you're interested in communicating with other Ambassadors and being a regional "point" for Minyans around the world, please let us know and we'll include you in that directory.
This is more than a "social network," it is a global grid of human capital that is consistent with the Minyanville mantra of surrounding yourself with people you trust who have skill-sets that complement your own.
The second is something that I've never been very good at: asking for help.
While our community continues to grow, we've never advertised or marketed in a coordinated manner. That's both a blessing (we'll notch record traffic this month despite this void) and a curse (we haven't evolved as quickly as we otherwise might have).
There has never been a more important time for investors to read content based on truth and trust. If you're part of the MUR and have never tried the Buzz & Banter, please give it a sniff (there's a free two-week trial). This is not "salesmanship," it's simply spreading the word from the inside out while trying to take care of our own
If you're affiliated with a financial institution and would like to test-drive a corporate license, we have a few options. The first is the standard Buzz and the second is Buzz 3.0, which allows your team to participate in the Buzz. This tool could serve as an internal communication device (think "Corporate Twitter" with base-line content) or an information delivery device to clients (with or without Minyanville content).
Should you be interested in either of the above, please connect with Carter Mansbach, who will work with you to map a strategy that helps our effort. We're all about prioritization in the 'Ville and want to see you and yours thrive first and foremost before turning your attention to the collective.
The third front is really quite simple: Do Something Joel, or a random act of kindness, each day. If society is indeed the sum of the parts, never underestimate how far a positive pebble can ripple in the proverbial pond of life. You would be amazed at how easy it is to spark a smile or affect positive change.
Thank you ever so much. We pride ourselves on taking care of our own and understand that a dream is only as powerful as those who believe in it. We appreciate you fighting the good fight alongside us.
Sneak Peak at the Memoirs
On June 10th, we released the first chapter of Memoirs of a Minyan, a modern day tale about the false idolatry of money, as an eBook that will publish every Wednesday over an eighteen-week cycle. As part of the MUR, you receive this content the night before it's made public.
While Memoirs is my story, the lessons encapsulate what so many are forced to face following the financial crisis: Net worth isn't self worth, having fun isn't happiness and the destination we arrive at pales in comparison to the path we take to get there.
Below please find the link to the next installment. I will simply ask that these sneak peaks be kept inside our Circle of Trust.
