Brett Chase is a veteran heath care and financial journalist based in Chicago. A former editor at Bloomberg News and Crain’s Chicago Business, he most recently wrote for Portfolio.com.
Brett covered the consolidation of the banking industry in the mid-1990s and the debate over genetically engineered foods later that decade. He’s covered the intersection of health and business for more than 10 years. Over the past year, he’s written about health reform, big drug companies, the obesity epidemic in the US and the business of medical marijuana. He also teaches communications at Loyola University in Chicago.
