Andre Julian
Mr. Julian is the CFO and co-owner of Option Investments, Inc (OpVest). He is responsible for the overall organization of the company, oversees administration, compliance and finance, and acts as the liaison between the marketing staff, research and trade departments. Since joining OpVest, he has built an impressive list of accomplishments in the financial industry, including; co-authoring ‘House Odds’ and ‘Introduction to Commodities’, becoming a regularly featured analyst on investment radio and television, and actively writing educational and analytical articles related to the market. He has been instrumental in helping build OpVest into the industry leader it is today. Mr. Julian has been registered as a Series 3 commodities broker with the CFTC and NFA since September of 1996 and as a CTA since 2008.

Mr. Julian’s 13 years of commodity experience have made him incredibly well-versed in fundamental and technical analysis of the commodities markets, risk management, asset allocation, compliance and sales training. Since entering the commodities industry, Mr. Julian has proven himself to be a highly motivated and successful businessman. In the 90’s, he became one of the top brokers at one of the nation’s leading commodities brokerage firms. Soon after this, he made the move to become a co-owner of Summit Financial Services, Inc. DBA Opportunities in Options in 2001 (which became an Independent Brokerage, OpVest, in 2003). In addition to helping run OpVest and Avalon, Mr. Julian focuses on enlightening other investors by passing along the knowledge that he has gained over the years onto them through his work with the investment media.

In addition to his brokerage experience, Mr. Julian also has co-founded two asset management companies: Tempest Asset Management and Avalon Asset Management. He received his MA in Social Ecology from the University of California at Irvine in 1994. As part of his graduate study and thesis research, he worked along side Professor Henry Pontell for September 1991 to October 1993 on a government sponsored research grant at the University of California at Irvine managing a research team developing a book a book on the Savings and Loan Debacle of the 1980’s. He received his BA in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine in 1991.
