Fed Chart Shows Impact of Food Prices on Lower Income Groups

This Burerau of Labor Services chart courtesy of the San Francisco Fed shows what percentage of various income groups outlay goes toward food, utilities and gasoline.

"Each quintile represents 20% of all consumer units, with the first quintile being the lowest income grouping and the fifth quintile being the highest income grouping."
