Minyanville's Holiday Festivus

Proceeds to Benefit The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education

Friday, December 7, 2007

On December 7th, 2007—Ruby Peck's birthday—Minyanville hosted an old-fashioned southern style hoe-down in the heart of New York City.  Held at Hill Country, New York's first restaurant dedicated to the flavors and traditions of Texas Hill Country barbecue, the Minyanville community gathered  to celebrate life and holiday cheer as we do our part to help tomorrow's dreamers, teachers, healers, leaders and visionaries.

Minyanville has always strived to do business in the best way possible.  By surrounding ourselves with trusted folks that have complementary skill sets, our mission is to affect positive change throughout the vertical of finance and across the spectrum of society.

Each year we gather to celebrate our collective journey, bringing our ""Circle of Trust""—the Minyanville professors, partners, investors and employees—together to share hugs, handshakes, ideas and perspective on the financial landscape and global environment.

Of course, we always have fun along the way…Festivus resulted in a memorable evening of delicious food, slamming music, intelligent discourse and close friends.   As the purpose of the journey is the journey itself, we very much enjoyed sharing this journey with you.

These three amazing bands provided amazing LIVE music; August West - A Tribute to The Grateful Dead, No Mersey - The Beatles at Their Best  ,The Rolling Bones - The World's Second Greatest Stones Show

100% of the evenings net proceeds will benefit The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education. The foundation was created in the memory of Todd Harrison’s grandfather Ruby Peck; the man who left a legacy for the love of learning.

We would like to thank our sponsors;

06 Critters Choice Awards
On December 1, 2006 Minyanville and The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education teamed up to hold the first annual charity benefit.  It was a two-part benefit; an afternoon of finance and a night of magic all in the name of children's education.

Former New York Knicks & Chicago Bulls Championship player Trent Tucker was honored for his outstanding contributions to creative education.  100% of the evening's net proceeds benefited The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education and The Trent Tucker Youth Program.
