Jitters in global financial markets as a result of European debt problems, Chinese tightening, and Korean hostilities impacted stocks negatively in November.

Jitters in global financial markets as a result of European debt problems, Chinese tightening, and Korean hostilities impacted stocks negatively in November (and boosted the US dollar and gold bullion).
The performance of a number of global stock markets is given in the table below in local currency terms for different measurement terms ended November 30. Other than to say that the month produced mostly negative returns, halting a period of gains in September and October, the numbers speak for themselves.

The gains/declines mentioned above are all in local currency terms. However, converting the movements to US dollars shows a worse picture for the non-dollar countries (see table below).
