For two straight weeks, bears have gotten the best of the bulls thanks to poor economic data.

Luckily for the bulls, economic data will be sparse next week. But a lack of it will be offset by the start of earnings season.

Next week, Costco (COST), Yum Brands (YUM), Mosaic (MOS), Monsanto (MON), Pepsi (PEP) and of course Alcoa (AA) will report numbers.
