Short Selling Good for the Market
.. Short selling helps keep stock prices down to sensible levels...

.. Part of the reason the NASDAQ 1/2 of the stock markets had prices rise to ridiculus bubble levels and then burst... so far, to never recover to even 1/2 of previous levels... is because the NASDAQ market maker manipulation overly restricted short selling...

.. Of course, 'naked' short selling is another matter... shorters should have the resources available to actually cover their short orders... in the event they are wrong...

.. Of course, the NASDAQ market acting more like a 'naked' venture capital market than a stock market was also part of the NASDAQ bubble burst...
