Our unscientific poll.

Recession touches everyone - even celebrities. So, as it turns out, People and US Weekly were right all along: They really are "just like us."

But which stars have been most adversely affected by the economic slowdown? Minyanville poured over dozens of recent celebrity quotes to find out.

Which Celebrities Have Been Hardest Hit?

"The economy is so bad right now that people are afraid to put money back into acting."
- Tara Reid (convincing herself it's the economy's fault she hasn't booked work in 2 years)
"Twenty years ago, I'd have been booked in at the Ritz with 5 grams of cocaine on my table and 10 bunches of flowers. Now I'm lucky to get an Oyster card."
- Lilly Allen

"I'm homeless at the moment so I am residing with my parents. It was cool in the beginning, but it turns into trouble."
- Nathalie Portman

"Will Smith. Oprah Winfrey - that's a ton of money. Compared to them, I'm on welfare!"
