Doin' It Bloggystyle: Bend It Like Expiration Day

Minyanville brings together the best of what they are saying "out there" about the topics we're talking about right here.

Blogs themselves need no introduction, as they get as much publicity as pretty much anything these days, save maybe the latest Britney news. There's an expanding world of excellent financial blogs, covering just about everything, from global economics to swing trading. Minyanville's goal is to bring together the best of what they are saying "out there" about the topics we're talking about right here.

Some random topics, as I ponder whether a magazine will ever grace our doorstep that does not have a Beckham on the cover...

"Welcome to My Underground Lair"

  • A couple weeks ago, the old "drugs and hookers" allegations were thrown at Broadcom CEO Henry Nicholas by some litigous ex-employees.
  • The world kind of shrugged, but turns out this wasn't the first time he faced these accusations, via DealBreaker.
  • "According to court documents the AP has uncovered, Nicholas had an illegal network of tunnels and rooms built underneath his estate. The network allegedly included a secret lair where Nicolas could "indulge his appetite for illegal drugs and sex with prostitutes," according to the work crew that built it. Apparently, the lair was hidden from both his wife and city officials.
  • You'd have thought Mrs. Nicholas would have wondered why that whole construction crew headed to the basement was a bunch of women dressed as nurses.
