Two Ways: New Toys from Hewlett-Packard
Strengthen your portfolio in good times and bad.
According to Reuters, these new thin and light laptop PCs check in at less than one inch thick, weigh less than four pounds, and will also come with customizable software to make the devices more personalized. This is the first time Hewlett-Packard has moved into the ultra-thin consumer PC market.
Further, analysts say with the upcoming launch of Microsoft's (MSFT) Windows 7 operating system, the PC market will likely begin to make a slow recovery from the lows seen earlier in the year.
From the Bull Pen: In tech, bulls can consider Research In Motion (RIMM). Professor Jeff Cooper mentioned this on the Buzz & Banter yesterday, "If the 80 strike is offset, it may suggest that RIMM is poised to test prior swing highs near 85 going into Friday's option expiration." Those playing it can consider a sell stop near 79.
From the Bear Cave: In tech, bears can look to AT&T (T). With significant resistance near $27.70, bears can consider playing the downside with a tight buy stop above that level.
