Rated the most powerful brand in the world by Millward Brown, Google (GOOG) has ceased being a simple search engine and become the online leader in just about everything. For those fortunate (and smart) enough to hold down a job there, it's also thought to be a kind of employment Shangri La. In 2007, it was voted the Best Place to Work in the US by Fortune.

The company's legendary perks, including free meals, foosball tables and massages, have helped to solidify this image. Which is fine with us. After all, it's probably best to keep the people who basically know every detail about our lives -- inasmuch as our lives are reflected in our online habits -- happy. While you're at it, you may even want to throw in a laundry service.

Oh, wait. They've got that already.
