Toddo on TV: Financials in Drag

By

Markets, movers and more.

What will it take for cars to thrive? Ford (F), much like General Motors (GM) and General Electric (GE) -- what Toddo calls the "financials in drag -- are dependent on their financing operations to pad the bottom line.

Now watch this! Toddo's eyeing the Amex Pharma Index (DRU) with its bullish cup and handle formation, the S&P at a breakout 1260 and a still-quite-low CBOE Volatility Index (VXO).

That smoke you smell? Yeah, that's the friction between opinions. Tension is running high and the (unconfirmed) chatter this morning that $1 billion in IndyMac Bank deposits are uninsured, and that Washington Mutual (WM) and Wells Fargo (WFC) aren't accepting checks drawn from its accounts, isn't helping. Toddo adds some color.
