Socialization efforts are producing diminishing returns, deflation knows no allies, the dollar is up 12% and commodities are down 25%. It's the definition of deleveraging, according to Toddo.

Now watch this! Toddo's leering at Campbell Soup (CPB). Consumer non-durables like these continue to chug toward 52-week highs. Also, Apple (AAPL). The non-participation to the upside is notable, particularly given the relative strength in Google (GOOG), Research In Motion (RIMM) and Baidu.com (BIDU).

Are Lehman Brothers (LEH) and Washington Mutual's (WM) persistent problems shifting the agenda for next week's Federal Reserve get together? According to Toddo, the Fed is absolutely factoring systemic risk and credit conditions. But with commodities down 25% since July, they have some more wiggle room.
