A letter to a friend...

Dear Bill,

I just wanted to thank you for working through me. There is no question in my mind that since this day two years ago, my life has changed. I have become a much better person, husband, father, and analyst. Each day when we spoke and you referred to me as a "swine" (also the personalized license plate on you car), or some other Irish slur - you reminded me that it is not only ok to be different, it is essential.

And sure were different! Not because of the exterior stuff that everyone watched on TV (on a CNBC interview, Bill wore a Hawaiian shirt), but the way that you brought perspective to the game of life we are in. As you know, we have our issues, but at the end of the day...who doesn't. In addition, not one day has gone by without me thinking of you with either a laugh or a tear. As a matter of fact, Patty (my wife) and I were laughing Tuesday about how we used to play liars poker over a couple (times ten) of cocktails down at the seaport years ago.

One thing is for sure, if I ever needed perspective and an honest answer for a problem, I knew who I could call. I want you to know it isn't any different today. Thanks for providing some clarity and perspective from above and keep talking through me - trust me I need your help! You wouldn't believe this, but the other day someone said I was way better than I used to be. Pretty coincidental huh?!

Your "swine" pal

P.S. - Maureen sold your car - but only after she let Danny (youngest son) drive it...LOL

You should have heard BIl's wife laugh at the PS.
