Buzz and Banter

It was brought to my attention today that Kevin and I might be on different technical pages. I am being perceived as Hoofy, while Kevin is thought to be more like Boo. I respect Kevin's work enough to call him in order to clarify his position. I constantly try to prove myself wrong because it is the only way to generate courage of conviction.

When I called Kevin, we both found out that our general market opinions are basically the same. What makes them APPEAR different is the focus of time frame. We both thought an educational discussion in Minyanville of the topic would be warranted.

It is through discussion with others on a topic that one keeps one's own skills honed (and I could always use a honing). Here is an analogy of what I mean. When you go for a golf lesson with a pro, he usually isn't going to say; "OK let's get to the first tee and play a few holes." He is probably going to say; "OK, let's take a look at your grip or stance." Another great friend reminds me all the time as well..."if you don't forget the basics - you don't ever have to go back to them because you are never too off."

Kevin, do you have any thoughts before we get into the meat of it?
