  • Please see the 310 reverse dandruff in the CRB Index. In the context of the February break-out and May test of that break-out, my sense is that we are at a very important juncture.

  • The CPI's owners' equivalent rent was up 2.3% Y/Y. Figure out how much your home has appreciated above that over the last year, and you have your delusion index. As point of reference from 1985 to 1998 owner's equivalent rents climbed at a lower rate than the equity appreciation every year. (Thanks Minyan JF for the article)

  • Does the current "frustra-ton" require a pin of the OIH at 100?

  • Tekelec (TKLC) announced a deal for signaling equipment with Teleglobe (TLGB) (the old ITX Communication). I don't know if this deal was already built into the guidance, but TLGB, shaky as it may be financially, is no small fry from an infrastructure standpoint.

  • I have heard of a Reuters' headline indicating that a lawsuit has been filed with the Germany equivalent of the Supreme Court to block the formal ratification of the EU Constitution approved by the German parlament. Add to that the agreement between Blair and Chirac, that neither is going to budge on their country's interests, and you have another day in Crumble-land.
  • No wonder the EU can't agree on anything.

  • If I had not absorbed the pain of covering my homies short positions at the end of January, I would no longer, "be of this business". Did I hear that "Risk Management" is the Minyans in the Moutains II theme?

  • The dollar goes up - gold goes up; the dollar goes down, gold goes up. I don't really understand it, but I'll take it.

  • The real question is: who do we sue then?
