Buzz & Banter

This whole market and analytical process is being way too micro-managed. You don't think so? All I have heard about today is the revision of a group of 53 economists who now expect the U.S. economy to expand this year by 2.4% vs. their 2.3% estimate in May.

Is THAT news or is anything being reported on like it really means something? I could come up with a ton of reasons it is news, but it would be to simply justify it as news. "This positive revision indicates the worst of the sluggish behavior is behind investors... blah blah blah..."
I understand why the number was released (the more economic data points the better) -- but I don't understand why it is being quoted throughout the morning as being a market-mover of any kind.
