Morning Randoms

Make it a great day fellas!!!

  • In addition to Prof. Reamer's Applied Complexity Analysis on the DXY, a more mundane dandruff look also projects to 78.50 which is the lows set in . . . 1992.

  • "The shorts are going to get crushed, You ain't seen nothin' yet" Robert Toll, CEO Toll Bros. (TOL), February 23, 2005. Yes, this is a vuja de', but one worth repeating . . .often . . .daily.

  • A few years ago I remember hearing that one of Michael Steinhardt's pupils suggested that energy was about to embark on the mother of all secular bull markets and oil would eclipse $100 in a matter of a few years. I also recall even more vividly the wild laughter coming from a sell-side perma-Hoofy when I told him that factoid. And the rest, as they say, it's history.

  • The Hoyas had a big comeback last night against the Seton Hall Pirates and earned the right to get destroyed (again) by UConn later today. From there is on to the NIT. In a glaring example of perception being reality, ask any Hoya fan and they will tell you that this was one of the most satisfying seasons in the last ten years.

  • Since I no longer have to worry about making a fool of myself in the 'Ville, away from precious metals and energy, the place I am looking for longs is small / niche telco tech. The dream of the bubble is materializing and while the "highway" is in place, the "signal lights" and "interchanges" are getting messier and tighter than the D.C. Beltway. And it's not even rush hour yet.

  • Last night Japan's Prime Minister Koizumi said something to the effect that it is necessary for Japan to "diversify its investment destinations." He was promptly rebuked by one of his subordinates who suggested the Prime Minister did not mean what he said. On the heels of a similar routine by the South Koreans last week, one must start wondering whether these guys are in a "conundrum".

  • Gas in Italy is $5.87 / gallon. Hoofy's cousins are emigrating in droves after short women with moustaches sporting aprons and cowboy hats attempted to lasso them and replace them for their 5-HP Fiat's.

  • Boo's Viagra

  • Do our Members of Congress really need to talk to Barry Bonds about steroids?

Have a great day Minyans!!!
