Much love from our family to yours!
Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
Well, my friends, it's about that time. Our two day respite is a few minutes away and the traders I speak to can't wait to turn it off and tune it out. Before you power down and focus your attention on the important stuff, I want you to summon up a moment of lucidity and look at your weekend exposure (both ways). Next weekend is chock full of information and there will be new days and new trades.
My interest in getting piqued on the long side as my (arbitrary) price target comes into view. I continue to sense an (eventual) stiff lift but what concerns me, among other things, is the orderly nature of the decline. The volatility measures are flat, the volume is meek, the wires are quiet and Fokker--don't get me started on Fokker!
Right or wrong (but always honest), I just (humbly) covered the remainder of my short side mini-schnitzels in the financials. I continue to feel that, big picture, this group in serious trouble (don't shoot the messenger) but I wanna be naked and ready Monday morning. While it's bound to change, this environment begs coming in every day and taking a fresh look. While I know most of you aren't afforded that luxury, that's my M.O (for now) and I can only communicate what I'm thinking/doing.
Yes, this stinks. Yeah, it's scary. Sure, it's painful. However, tomorrow is promised to nobody and, from my perch, I'm trying to make the most of each day. I can't tell you what's gonna happen but I know that if something terrible does, I've lived my life, smiled as much as I could, been the best friend possible and conducted myself in a manner consistent with who I believe I am.
There are things in this world we can't control and worrying about them all day will only take away from where our focus should be. Take some time this weekend and think about who matters most to you and make sure they know how you feel. When push comes to shove, all you need is love.
Have a peaceful weekend.
