Crafting a Feel
You want a war, Boo? You've got it!
She's crafty - she's gets around
She's crafty - she's always down
She's crafty - she's got a gripe
She's crafty - and she's just my type
(the Beastie Boys)
Warning: Stocks as they appear may change dramatically as a function of today's catalsyts.
The Minx springs to life and Hump Day in Minyanville has begun. My early observations include constructive internals in the S&P, sloppy action in the financials, sellers emerging in CSCO, continued weakness in the biotechs and Fokker's need for a haircut. Hey kid--groom yourself!
Take all of these early looks, feels, peeks and sniffs and put 'em on the back burner. The chatter that will inevitably fill your room in a half hour will be Powellful and change the landscape dramatically. What I'm weighing (aside from 200 lbs) is the conventional wisdom. I've spoken to traders who think they rip 'em higher and I've heard from those who think they're a sale. My instincts continues to be that selling rallies will prove profitable--my question is one of timing.
Watch Cisco, Citigroup, Microsoft, our levels (840-870) and, most importantly, watch your back.
