It's all VERY exciting!
Good morning and welcome to the thrill of the 'Ville. Before we get our kicks and fix on the flickering ticks, I would like to officially welcome ye faithful to our new digs. Our goal was to enhance the Minyan experience and broaden both the scope and depth of our educational efforts--something that I'm sure we've accomplished with this latest renovation. We've added four fantastic new columnists to the family--Kevin "tickle me" Tuttle will offer his technical take with the "Morning Cup Of Jo," Jason "rolling with the" Roney has a unique methodology for finding order in the chaos, Susan "Swein" Wein will entrance your children with her poetic prose and Timothy "Doogie" Olsen will do his best to make us all feel like an underachiever!
In addition to the added content, you'll also notice a shift in the Minyanville Gazette format. My column (as you can tell) will now appear alongside my fellow professors in the News & Views section, offering creative commentary throughout the trading session. The new Buzz & Banter feature--designed as an educational tool for the active Minyans among you--will provide dynamic, real-time observations from Minyanville's finest. While we all enjoy a little levity during the trading day, Buzz & Banter will be a bit drier and a tad more sophisticated. You'll be able to access this either on the main Gazette page or through a super-cool desk top application. Just click on the link at the bottom of the Buzz & Banter daily thread to activate and you can control the rest. Don't have room on your screen for another (small) window? No worries--the Buzz will remain on your tool bar and blink whenever new content is posted!
I'll be back in a bit with my daily dance but before I go, I must take a moment to thank Team Minyan for their tireless efforts. Casey--you're brilliant and none of this would be possible without you. Fokker--my little baby's all grown up and I'm proud to call you my brother. Len, Judith and Allan (and Julie)--your wisdom has allowed this dream to take one step closer to reality. Debra and her EXCELLENT staff at N-Tonic--what can I say...wow! Succo, Brian, Scotto, Fleck, Jason, Adam and Laurie--I'm humbled to be surrounded by such talent each day. And Collins, you're greener than grass but I'm psyched you're on the squad.
Finally--and I promise that this is the last group hug before we roll our sleeves up and tackle the tape--I want to thank the Minyanship for their constant and often unconditional support. I've been blown away by the generosity and character of the good people who come to the 'Ville each day. Whether it's someone stepping up to try and help Jackson Reamer or the many Minyans who've become Mentors or the hundreds of thousands of dollars we've raised for the Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education--it's mind boggling when you stop to think about it. We couldn't do it without you but together, there's no limit to what we can accomplish.
Thank you ever so much.
